REGISTRATION
|
|
|
Full Status - Once the student has met all admission requirements,
they will be designated as a full-status student. Students in full-status will need
to register for courses by submitting a course registration form with the appropriate
credit tuition prior to the registration deadline each semester.
|
|
| |
|
Conditional Status - First time students may register for courses in
a conditional-status while they are still completing the enrollment process. Students
in conditional-status may register only for courses in their initial semester by
submitting a course registration form with the appropriate credit tuition prior to
the registration deadline. When the admissions file is complete, the conditional-status
will be changed to full-status and the student may register for later courses.

|
Audit Status – If you want to take courses without earning credit, you
may be admitted under audit-status. Audit-status students do not need to submit an
application, application fee, or go through the above enrollment process. Audit-status
students will need to register for classes by submitting a course registration form with
the appropriate audit tuition prior to the registration deadline for each semester.
Audit-status students will not receive credit for taking courses, grades will not be
issued, and no transcript will be provided. Subject to approval, audit-status students
may seek credit for courses they have started. The conversion must be made prior to
the completion of an audited course. The student must meet the admissions requirements
and pay the difference in tuition from audit to credit and the Status Change Fee.

|
Probationary Status – If your academic record would normally prevent
enrollment at CCPC, you may appeal to the Admissions Committee and, upon recommendation,
be admitted on Academic Probation. Probationary-status will be changed to credit-status
once 15 units of course work have been completed with not less than a 2.0 GPA.
|
|
| |
|
Active Status – A current full-status student who has enrolled and
successfully completed courses for credit without missing more than one semester
consecutively is considered in active-status. In other words, if a student does not
enroll and successfully complete at least one course for credit in two consecutive
semesters they will be considered inactive.
|
|
| |
|
Inactive Status – A student who has not enrolled and successfully
completed at least one course for credit in two consecutive semesters is considered
in inactive-status. Inactive-status students will be subject to any program or
policy changes, including changes in tuition rates. Students who have been inactive
for less than one year may return to active-status once they enroll and successfully
complete at least one class for credit. Students who remain inactive for one year of
more must go through the admissions procedures to return to active-status and their
degree program. Readmission is not guaranteed.

Transfer of Credit – CCPC may accept undergraduate credits for transfer.
In transferring units, all courses must fit the curriculum of the program and been
earned with the grade of C (2.0 on a 4.0 scale) or higher. The number of units accepted
by CCPC will be decided on a case basis. Evaluations are based on the appropriateness
of content level and credit value. Biblical and theological courses must be equivalent
in quality and theological perspective. A course must be at least 75% parallel, based
on the course description. In some cases a course syllabus and a catalog with the course
description may be requested so an informed decision can be made. The Dean will make the
final decision whether to award transfer credit. A student must complete at least half
of a program at CCPC to earn a degree from CCPC.
